Introduction
Once inside the workshop and introductions made, the tutor will outline the different types of mosaics that can be made and demonstrate with the tools how to cut the glass.
Designing and Making Your Mosaic
With support from the tutors, you will soon be designing and cutting the glass to make your chosen piece using the wide range of glass available.
Finishing the Piece
Once all the pieces have been cut and placed, you will be shown how to ‘grout’ your mosaic with a particular frit. The piece will then be left with the tutors to kiln your piece to ensure the glass is fully fused together.
Collection
After approximately 10 days you will then be contacted by The Glass Girls to let you know that your pieces will be ready to collect. The piece will be put into a frame, however you can choose on the course to have it drilled for a hanging tile if preferred.
This course is said to be very relaxing - and is great for groups or individuals.

Welcome to our creative space. We are two sisters from Solihull who have found a love for glass fusing and feel excited by the opportunity to share this with you. We hope you will leave our workshops relaxed and refreshed, pleased with what you have created and excited to see the finished product when it comes out of the kiln.
